Sadie was born and raised in Wabasha and after getting her EMT during college she returned to her hometown and has served on her hometown Wabasha Ambulance Service for 12 years. Sadie lives with her husband Chris and their Cat, Franklin. Sadie has not only been active with the ambulance service taking call but also in the community.
She has also been instrumental in creating an onboarding process, helping orientate new members, heading up our recruitment and retention efforts, running our social media, and teaching CPR. Sadie’s full-time job is as a county social worker. On the morning of June 14th, 2022 Sadie came upon a man in cardiac arrest in his vehicle on the side of the road in front of the high school. Sadie and other bystanders pulled the man from his vehicle and started CPR and used an AED. Thanks to Sadie and the other bystanders quick actions of early CPR and defibrillation, when the ambulance crew arrived they were able to obtain ROSC and the man has since made a full recovery and is neurologically intact.
Sadie is selfless, has a strong desire to give back to her community, and will go above and beyond in all aspects of her life.
